Summer Lovin'

okay i'm gonna give this journaling thing another shot.

so I've been out of school for 11 days now. i've accomplished quite a bit in those 11 days too. for me at least. cuz i'm usually good for doing absolutely nothing.

i've set a doctor's appointment for the 15th. i haven't been to the doctor in over ten years. i've been to the, you know, the girls doctor once a year since the summer i got married. but i havent been to a regular doctor in forever. so i'm gonna go meet the lady whos name has been on my insurance card for the last four years finally. and i'm gonna get a complete physical. that's always exciting.

i cleaned the whole downstairs of the house plus both upstairs bathrooms.

i went on a four hour road trip with cousin d to the valley for my cousins graduation. we got a flat tire and thought we were gonna be tough girls and change it ourselves no problem right? well we couldn't even figure out how to get the stinkin tire out from underneath the car! so much for being independent women. then a really nice couple from san antonio stopped and the guy changed the tire for us and when he was done and lowering the car a state trooper stopped to see if we needed help. gee thanks mister. then we were off again and we had a nice weekend with the whole family.

i bought a book for my summer reading. mr. darcy takes a wife. it's some authors continuation of jane austens pride and prejudice. im really excited about reading it cuz i LOVED pride and prejudice and i just hate when stories end and this makes the story not end. well, until im done reading it. =( let's not think about that.

this past weekend we went to big spring, tx to visit hubster's family. that was nice too. except we played trivial pursuit and that game always makes me feel dumb. big spring is in west texas. there isn't much else to do other than play trivial pursuit. there's that and then there's watching the oil derricks pump.

yesterday lil' bro took one hour to fix my computer that has been down for over a month! so today i'm buying him lunch. and im connected to the world once again! and i bought a new color printer cartridge and why in the world are they so FREAKIN expensive?! 35 flippin dollars!

haha! last night i made a schedule for myself to become a better housekeeper. i really really suck at being an adult when it comes to keeping up a house. so with this new schedule i only have to clean one room a day! and today im supposed to clean the laundry room. it works out that i get sundays off and each room will get cleaned every two weeks. i KNOW that sounds like some rooms don't get cleaned as often as they should but its a hell of a lot better than what i was doing before! most of the house except the kitchen would get cleaned either right before company and visitors or about every three months when hubster would really get on me about it or there was a no school holiday. like earlier when i said i cleaned all of downstairs and the bathrooms upstairs, that was cuz when i went out of town for cousin's graduation, hubsters's mom, step dad, sister and her boyfriend were coming to stay for the weekend. so i only cleaned cuz visitors were coming! im terrible! we'll see how long my schedule works out. since i made it yesterday and that took some time i decided i deserved the rest of the day off and i would start tomorrow (which is today) so the dining room didnt get cleaned yesterday and it wont for two more weeks. i sure hope we dont have anyone over cuz then it will either be dirty, or i'll have to clean it AND whatever is on the schedule! ahh. im so lazy!

other than that i just sit around the house or make sure my cell phone is on me cuz i'm still waiting for some principal ANY principal to call for an interview. i have until july 2nd to get a job at a new school or i'll have to stay at my old school. which isn't bad at all! i LOVE my school! but its just so far from home and i really dont like the drive home after school. i dont mind the morning so much its just the traffic in the afternoon/evening. plus...IF we start trying for a little one i dont want work to be so far from home.

i've gotten sucked back into general hospital. its funny how fast you can get caught up even when you havent watched in forever.

okay, i think thats all ive been up to since school got out.
